Đông Y Sĩ Cảnh Thiên, tên thật Đào Văn Thảo, sinh năm 1940 tại Tỉnh Tây Ninh, Việt Nam. Ông sinh ra trong một gia đình y học truyền thống, khởi nghiệp từ Ông Nội, Cha và đến Ông, nối tiếp truyền thừa sở học Đông Y có hơn 160 năm.
Đông Y Sĩ Cảnh Thiên bước vào đại gia đình Đông Y Việt Nam từ năm 1963.
